AmericanThai.net 1st Book Announcements

September 16, 2008

Since the launch of AmericanThai.net
in January 2007, our website has continuously grown and become much more mature.  I thank you all for your kind contributions and support, in many ways, in making this website interesting and wonderful.

It has been such a long journey... I am glad to announce that the first book publication of the AmericanThai.net is now on the way.  It will be specially made as a keepsake for your family.  This will include photos of your children, artwork, and some interesting stories.  There is no obligation for you to buy, although I truly encourage you to.  The cost of the book will be justified mainly according to the cost of publication.  I am open to any opinion and contribution in photos and/or any other significant ideas.

Here is what I need from you:
1. Please submit the favorite photos of your children otherwise I will pick from what I have! (http://americanthai.net/aboutus.aspx)
2. Any interesting artwork, if not already shown on the website. (http://americanthai.net/artwork.aspx)
3. Any stories and/or comments regarding your life here, in America, or in Thailand that you would like to share and to be published. (Examples: http://americanthai.net/ownwords.aspx and http://americanthai.net/stories.aspx or any!!!)

The dateline for submission is September 30, 2008.

Cheers,
Dr. Joy

October 24, 2008

FYI, the AmericanThai.net 1st book is in its final review and will be submitted for publication soon.  I have some extra time to create something "cool" from the AmericanThai.net children's photos and their art work.

Please take a look at this link: http://www.zazzle.com/americanthaidotnet* and let me know your thought.  There is no obligation to purchase whatsoever.  However, if you need different products with different photos and/or artwork, please let me know.  I, myself, just placed a long list of orders and can't wait to get them.

Cheers,
Dr. Joy

AmericanThai.net 1st Book

December 5, 2008

I am glad to announce that the first AmericanThai.net Book is now ready to be shipped to you.  The book is a square 8" x 8" photo book, 50 color-pages (not including the covers) with soft cover, beautifully made in Germany by CEWE.  The CEWE is the European brand for SmileBooks photo books.  The company has won the prestigious 2008 TIPA Award (Technical Imaging Press Association) in the category of Best Photo Service.  The quality of this AmericanThai.net book is superb!  The price is $50 per book and I will ship/deliver it to you for free.

FYI, the original cost of producing this book is more than $50.  However, I am offering you at $50 as a special gift for the holiday season.

This first publication of AmericanThai.net illustrates a special collection of the American-Thai children's photos of their extraordinary looks, as well as their artwork.  The book is intended to be a wonderful keepsake for families, friends, and everyone who adores them.  The book serves as an introduction to AmericanThai.net and the essence of the American & Thai cultures.  In addition, we are honored by Kim Wells Atkinson, a senior editor of the United Nations, for his special "Taking an American and Thai path in life" journal and help in preparing the final manuscripts.

Let me know if you are interested in owning this special edition.
Belows are the scanned photos of the front and back covers.
