As part of our journey since the launch of AmericanThai.net in January 2007, we have served the American & Thai societies where two cultures meet.  Our missions include the promotion of American-Thai children and their pride of "who they are" and develop friendships with their American-Thai friends.  We hope to continue our growth and improvement, and hope to serve the community in many more years to come.  We also hope to welcome you some day to be part of the AmericanThai.net community.

As part of our support, we have received kind donation from
The Atkinson Family.  Many items are African arts which have been parts of their collection when they lived in Africa.  Some are items acquired from Thailand and other Asian countries.  AmericanThai.net wish to express our sincere appreciation for their kind support.

If interested, you may purchase the items at your "desired" donation.  Please see this LINK for more details.

Drawing since she was 2, Chaweinta Hale has developed a style that is impressing her teacher, Brent Rodenberger, at Pearl Creek Elementary School.

“I started because I saw things around me that seemed to create a story or a window,” Hale said.

She said her cousins and mother are also artistic, and they also happen to be her favorite artists.

Rodenberger said the fifth-grader is enthusiastic about all subject areas but gets particularly excited for art.

“When art is mentioned, her face lights up the room,” he said.

Rodenberger adds Hale is a patient and careful artist with an eye for color. When she uses watercolors, Hale takes her time to blend and mix colors.

“Satisfactory is not the proper word to describe her finished pieces,” Rodenberger said.

“They are bold, unique, detailed and speak of professionalism.”

Hale has won third- and fourth-place awards for two cartoons she drew about her dog.

In addition to making art, Hale enjoys Japanese animation and comic books. She also likes paintings of flowers and animals and reading poetry, folklore, fantasy and philosophy
.

Although she dabbles in a number of other activities, such as poetry, comic strips, playing the piano and Web page and architectural design on the computer, Hale said she would like to become a writer or an artist in the future.
